Neon Samurai

Hack n’ slash cyberpunk game developed with Maya, Unity and motion capture for iOS + Android.

I’ve always been a fan of cyberpunk and the Neo-Tokyo aesthetic. I wanted to create a game with fairly simple controls, fun power-ups, and sleek weapons. Still a work in progress I decided to tackle AI and pathfinding for enemies with custom C# instead of relying on any third-party assets to do it for me. That combined with serializing data for progress, integrating motion capture for all movement, and designing it all from scratch has been a great learning experience and a fun game to build out. I love the hand drawn look and decided to keep that feel in the model textures and environments where possible. I love big boss fights and I plan to bring them into NEON Samurai in full glory.
